Country: Democratic Republic of the Congo Source: UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Please refer to the attached Infographic. In July 2025, 57 incidents affecting humanitarian actors were reported, more than double the 27 incidents recorded in June. This sharp increase follows several weeks of decline, with most incidents concentrated in North Kivu and South Kivu.In July, 4 humanitarians were kidnapped, 2 injured, and 1 killed. Intimidation, threats, and interference with humanitarian activities remain widespread and continue to disrupt operations.Between January and July 2025, 354 incidents against humanitarian workers were documented, with 169 in North Kivu province, 98 in South Kivu, 44 in Ituri, and 30 in Tanganyika. The remaining 13 incidents took place in Maniema or other provinces.Access constraints remain severe. Strategic humanitarian axes such as Masisi–Walikale in North Kivu, Bukavu–Uvira in South Kivu, and Bunia–Fataki in Ituri are either blocked or heavily restricted due to insecurity and administrative constraints. Access to airspace remains limited, and cross-border movement with Burundi continues to face restrictions, disrupting aid supply chains and delaying the delivery of essential assistance.
