Vivek Oberoi’s Mumbai home is not a flashy house meant to impress. It’s a space that he and his wife Priyanka have built around their memories, and a strong connection to nature.“Say hi to Kamadhenu—this is more her home than mine,” he jokes, pointing to his cow. “That aroma of a cow shed… it takes you back to the feeling that within this city, we’re living in our own little sweet desi village.” Every corner is intentional. “The idea was, this home should come from Priyanka and me. What it represents is our life.”He explains that everything in their home was chosen with intention, whether it’s the outdoor space or the little details inside. “We wanted the house to feel like Goa, that relaxed, grounded vibe. It’s all about being eco-friendly, rooted, and real.”One dream Vivek always had? Waking up on a lazy Sunday and hearing his kids play the piano in the living room. “It’s not for others to see, it’s about what we feel when we’re here,” he says, speaking of how the home was designed for their family, not for show. His favourite space? The bedroom, his calm zone. “This is our refuge from the outside world. We love bringing the outdoors in. We’re both fans of antique stuff too. That bed? It’s been in Priyanka’s family for over 50 years.”Vivek remembers sleeping in a similar bed when he was four, wrapped in a machardani, listening to stories from his grandmother. “Even though I travel a lot, there’s something about sleeping here. It just fills me with peace.”The house isn’t perfect, and that’s exactly what he loves about it. “You’ll see cracks, flaws… but that’s life, isn’t it? I love the imperfections.”Story continues below this adIn the backyard, it’s all raw charm, pipes out in the open, a tap in the middle of the wall. But it all adds to the feel. “We’ve embraced it. We like the quirks, the madness.”Vivek admits that his work world is full of make-believe, scripts, lights, cameras. “Even off camera, you’re expected to behave a certain way. But here, I can just be me. No acting. Just love and acceptance.”📣 For more lifestyle news, click here to join our WhatsApp Channel and also follow us on Instagram© IE Online Media Services Pvt LtdTags:Vivek Oberoi
