normalnormalnormalHaryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini said that the International Horticulture Market being developed in Ganaur, Sonipat, is one of the state’s most significant and prestigious projects, and its operation must be ensured at the earliest. He directed officers concerned to ensure that no administrative or technical hurdles come in the way of its functioning.The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has personally been reviewing the progress report of this project from time to time, and efforts will be made to have the inauguration of this International Horticulture Market done by the Prime Minister himself.He directed that a special nodal officer be appointed to effectively implement the operational process of the market, who will coordinate with the state government, central government, and related departments to ensure necessary action.The Chief Minister further said that the project consultant should ensure that detailed information about the market’s structure, potential, and facilities reaches not only Haryana but also other states and countries. Traders from Delhi’s Azadpur Mandi as well as apple growers from states like Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir will benefit greatly from this market, as it is well-connected by a strong road network, facilitating easy transportation of fruits and vegetables.In the meeting  it was informed that this state-of-the-art market is being developed on 544 acres of land, out of which 350 acres will have 17 modern sheds. Provisions for vertical marketing will also be included. Parking facilities for 5,500 trucks and about 15,000 cars are also planned. It was also informed that the tender process for this Rs. 2,595-crore project has already been approved by the technical committee.The Chief Minister approved the tender under the ‘Business Operation Plan,’ under which only those interested investors having a minimum of 100 acres of  cultivation experience in horticulture and an annual turnover of at least Rs. 100 crore will be considered eligible.The Chief Minister suggested that guidance and advice should also be sought from the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) of the Central Government to make this project more useful and globally competitive.Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Shyam Singh Rana, Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Pankaj Agarwal, Managing Director, Haryana International Horticulture Market Limited, Mukul Kumar, Chief Administrator,  Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, Director General, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Rajnarayan Kaushik, and other senior officers were present at the meeting.Ensuring every candidate reaches the exam centre was our government’s commitment – Transport Minister Anil VijTransport Department entire staff working with full spirit and responsibility to conduct the CET exam – Anil VijHaryana Transport Minister, Anil Vij said regarding the transport arrangements for the Common Entrance Test (CET) that it was the commitment of our government that every candidate must reach the examination center, and this responsibility was fulfilled diligently by the Transport Department.While interacting with media persons on Saturday, Transport Minister, Sh. Around 11 lakh candidates had to appear for the exam, and about 13 lakh people were traveling by buses, also due to the Teej festival and the weekend, there was additional rush in the buses. However, the entire staff of the Transport Department had been working on the arrangements since last night.He said that we also allowed general passengers to travel in the buses arranged for the candidates, and there were no issues reported anywhere. Hospitals have been prepped with necessary arrangements wherever required. The entire government is committed to ensuring the exam is conducted successfully. He said all efforts have been made to ensure that the candidates can appear in the exam without any problems.Haryana Government strengthening its resolve to provide jobs  on merit basis, without Parchi-Kharchi Extensive arrangements made for the successful conduct of CET examination across the state CET Exam conducted peacefully on the first day at 2,674 centresThe Haryana Government successfully conducted the Common Eligibility Test (CET) on July 26, aimed at providing employment to eligible youth through a transparent and fair system. As per the directions of the Chief Minister,  Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, extensive arrangements were made for the examination across 22 districts of the state and in Chandigarh.Sharing more details in this regard, an official spokesperson informed that admit cards were issued to more than 13.48 lakh candidates for the CET scheduled on July 26 and 27. The examination is being conducted in four shifts over two days. On the first day, the exam was held in two shifts – in the first shift at 1,338 centres for 3,37,790 candidates, and in the second shift at 1,336 centres for 3,37,261 candidates. Thus, the CET examination was conducted peacefully at 2,674 centres on the first day.The spokesperson further said that Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, and other senior administrative officers personally inspected exam centres, bus stands, and other important locations. Special bus services were arranged by the Transport Department to facilitate candidates in reaching their examination centres, which ensured smooth arrangements and satisfaction among candidates.CCTV surveillance, flying squads, duty magistrates, and nodal officers were deployed at all examination centres to ensure that the entire process was completely transparent, fair, and peaceful, shared the spokesperson.The spokesperson said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government is committed to providing government jobs to deserving youth without Parchi-Kharchi.  The CET exam is a historic step in this direction.The spokesperson added that the next phase of the CET exam will be held on July 27, in which the remaining candidates will appear. Similarly, Social Justice, Empowerment, SCs and BCs Welfare and Antyodaya(SEWA) Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, and Health Minister, Kumari Arti Singh Rao will participate in celebrations across Bhiwani and Narnaul respectively.
