Glorious Goodwood 2025 Day three betting tips

Wait 5 sec.

Day three of Glorious Goodwood brings high-class action and major betting opportunities, with the spotlight firmly on the Group 1 Nassau Stakes, the feature race of the day. This prestigious contest for fillies and mares has a rich history and promises another thrilling renewal as some of the best middle-distance talents clash on the Sussex Downs.Elsewhere on the card, the Gordon Stakes serves as a key trial for the St Leger, attracting progressing three-year-olds with staying credentials. Earlier in the day, the Richmond Stakes gives punters a look at some of the fastest juveniles around, which competitive handicaps round out the schedule, offering value for those willing to dig deep. With quality and intrigue in equal measure, Thursday at Glorious Goodwood delivers a card that’s as challenging as it is rewarding for bettors.Top Glorious Goodwood 2025 offerSee all Glorious Goodwood free bets and offers from our partnersGlorious Goodwood Day 3 (Thursday) tips1.20 Serenity Blue 12/1 each way1.55 Coppull 7/22.30 Merchant 5/4 NEXT BEST3.05 Whirl 11/10 NAP3.45 Getreadytorumble 15/2 each way4.20 Amazing Journey 5/1 each way4.55 Aylin 3/15.30 Organ 9/1 each way*odds from bet365 are predicted and subject to changeJoe’s best horse racing betting tips for Glorious Goodwood on ThursdayFind my top tips for today’s racing with odds from the best horse racing bookies below: 1.20 Coral Kincsem Handicap (Class 2) 1m2fIt has been a poor couple of days for Wathnan Racing with 0 winners from 12 runners. There has been a lot of money for Best Secret here but as you can see from the trends favourites don’t have the best record in the race and I feel like there is decent value in opposing. SERENITY BLUE has gone from strength to strength winning both starts since his debut. He goes handicapping now off a manageable mark and is worth keeping on side especially at a double-figure price.High Degree could be one of the main dangers as he has also looked promising albeit only winning narrowly last time. He can do better up in trip and as we know the yard are going great guns at the moment.Trends3 of the last 12 winners were favourites11 of the last 12 winners carried 9 stone 2lb or less3 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before9 of the last 12 winners had a rating of between 88 and 97 Bet on SERENITY BLUE each way at 12/1 with bet365 1.55 Markel Richmond Stakes (Group 2) 6fTrainer Clive Cox has won the Richmond twice in recent years with Golden Horde and Supremacy and he has a good chance of coming away with the prize again with the improving COPPULL. This colt by Bated Breath made a bright start winning on debut and then pitched in at the deep end ran a big race in defeat to finish third in the Coventry. I know the form has taken a couple of knocks since but the winner Gstaad looked exciting and I still rate that as solid form.Maximized won his first two starts before struggling somewhat at Newmarket. It is too early to write him off though and if he bounces back he could definitely be the one that threatens the selection most.Trends6 of the last 12 winners were favourites and 11 of 12 top 3 in the betting8 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before3 of the last 12 winners had at least 1 previous Group 2 win6 of the last 12 winners had at least 2 previous wins that season Bet on COPPULL to win at 7/2 with bet365 2.30 HKJC World Pool Gordon Stakes (Group 3) 1m4fI know MERCHANT is quite short in the betting but that is with good reason and if he improves again as expected I do think he’ll come out on top here and complete the hat-trick. He really hit top gear in the closing stages at Royal Ascot and ran through the line strong. This is tougher again but the form has already been franked with the fifth Omni Man winning at this meeting yesterday. The runner-up Serious Contender chased home Lambourn in the Irish Derby as well so it is really stacking up. The yard won this with Desert Hero 2 years ago and I fancy him to get the job done.Rahiebb doesn’t know how to run a bad race and bumped into the selection when the pair met at York back in May. He has since finished third in the Queen’s Vase and that form has been well advertised with the fifth Scandinavia winning his next two starts so he looks the most obvious danger.Trends4 of the last 12 winners were favourites and 9 of 12 top 3 in the betting5 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before1 of the last 12 winners had at least 1 previous run at Goodwood9 of the last 12 winners had a rating of 104 or higher Bet on MERCHANT to win at 5/4 with bet365 3.05 Qatar Nassau Stakes (Fillies’ And Mares’ Group 1) 1m2fAidan O’Brien won the Nassau last year with Opera Singer and he has a good record in it having taken it with the likes of Minding and Winter in recent years. Pretty Polly winner WHIRL represents the yard this year and I expect her to be really tough to beat. Her record is pretty faultless and this looks her optimum trip. She went down just a neck to stablemate Minnie Hauk in The Oaks and then beat Kalpana at the top level last time back down to a mile and a quarter. She has class and toughness and however this pans out I expect her to come out on top.See The Fire failed to live up to market expectation at Sandown but bounced back and ran out an emphatic winner at York. She backed that up with a good third behind Ombudsman and Anmaat at Royal Ascot and a repeat of that would see her as the danger. Cercene was gutsy to hold off Zarigana in the Coronation and is another one to note if she gets the trip.Trends8 of the last 12 winners were aged 3 or 44 of the last 12 winners were favourites and 8 of 12 top 3 in the betting9 of the last 12 winners had a rating of 111 or higher8 of the last 12 winners had at least 1 previous Group 1 win Bet on WHIRL to win at 11/10 with bet365 3.45 Buccellati Handicap (Class 3) 5fDespite the hat-trick being denied at Sandown GETREADYTORUMBLE still ran well beaten just 2 lengths. He jumped the path and that must have cost him crucial momentum. His two wins at Brighton and then at this track before that have worked out well so he might still be ahead of the handicapper and could play a big role in the outcome here.Obviously plenty of dangers in a race like this likely headed by Nad Alshiba Green who was in front of the selection at Sandown and will also be well suited by this speed favouring track. Marty Hopkirk also looks quite a big price as he only missed narrowly on handicap debut last time. Bet on GETREADYTORUMBLE each way at 15/2 with bet365 4.20 Phase Eight Nursery (Class 2) 7fThere are definitely a few lurkers hiding in here but AMAZING JOURNEY looks a colt on the upgrade himself and he might be able to complete the hat-trick. He came good winning at Chepstow having been well backed and then followed up at York last time. The form has been franked since and now stretching out to 7f there could be plenty more to come.Quite a few dangers but Victorious One was denied just a nose at Epsom and if improving again now pitched into a nursery for the first time could put up the most resistance. Sir Albert is also thriving and is another one to note. Bet on AMAZING JOURNEY each way at 5/1 with bet365 4.55 Tatler British EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Class 2) 7fIt was only inexperience that cost AYLIN a winning start at York. She was denied just a short head but that experience won’t have been lost on her and stretching out a furlong in trip here she should come good now. She cost 600,000 guineas as a yearling and she holds plenty of Group race entries so they are clearly hoping she could be quite an exciting prospect in time.Quiescent also showed promise to finish runner-up on debut at Newmarket and with natural progression could be the danger. Quite a few debutants lining up but I think those with experience seem to set a pretty decent standard but the market will still be worth watching for clues. Bet on AYLIN each way at 3/1 with bet365 5.30 World Pool Bet With The Tote Handicap (Class 3) 1mA tricky handicap to close out and while both Sea Force and Wicked make plenty of appeal they are both at the top of the market. I wanted to back something at a bigger price and ORGAN fitted the bill. This son of Ulysses has won his last 3 and he keeps winning by small margins so the handicapper can’t punish him too much. He impressed over C&D last time and with more to come he might be able to extend the winning sequence.Kingman colt Wicked won going away at Sandown and did impress that day so freshened up could be the danger. Kaleido bolted up at Yarmouth and is unexposed so is another one I can see getting seriously competitive.  Bet on ORGAN each way at 9/1 with bet365 My top tip for Thursday’s racing at Glorious Goodwood 2025MERCHANT looks the most progressive three-year-old in the Gordon Stakes. He was much the best at Royal Ascot and that turn of foot should help him on this undulating track. His form stacks up and with the yard in red-hot form he can justify favouritism. WHIRL lines up in the Nassau and she arrives in peak form. That win over Kalpana in the Pretty Polly looks even better now and getting weight and this trip looking her optimum she should have too much for these. Moore will ride her forward and she should prove tough to pass.
