HyderabadCongress leader and MLC Addanki Dayakar asserted that BRS was already ‘dead’ and all the efforts of working president K.T. Rama Rao to revive it through ‘abusive politics’ will not help.Responding to KTR’s personal attacks against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at recent public meetings, Mr. Dayakar said that such tactics will be counter-productive and further deteriorate the party.“People have rejected BRS in two consecutive elections. With this arrogance, it has no future,” he said, reminding that Congress too, can hit back in such crude language.Accusing KTR of using abusive language merely to stay politically relevant, he remarked that the more Mr. Rama Rao abuses, the brighter Revanth Reddy’s future will be. He alleged that former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was now confined to his farmhouse realising that BRS had no future.“If KCR couldn’t save it, what can KTR do with a party that is clearly dying? Even the so-called invisible forces that once protected KCR are now helpless, as people have seen through the drama,” he added.‘Comic relief’In a separate press note, Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy described BRS legislators Jagadishwar Reddy and Kaushik Reddy as “comic relief” characters in a political drama. “They appear like side actors in a film, offering comic relief after their hero finishes his abusive dialogue and exits,” he said, referring to KTR.Mr. Reddy further alleged that the people of Telangana had fully understood how BRS and its leadership had ‘looted’ the State through a decade-long family rule.Published - July 27, 2025 11:39 pm IST
