Jake Paul’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian, insists talks are progressing in a positive direction with Anthony Joshua’s camp. The pair verbally agreed to meet each other in 2026 over a phone call after ‘The Problem Child’ called out AJ on his podcast.Joshua is in talks to fight Paul next yearGetty‘The Problem Child’ then got the wheels in motion by sitting down with Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh last month to discuss financing the fight, and it now appears that all the relevant parties are on board with the idea.Bidarian believes the crossover clash could take place in the first quarter of 2026, and has even suggested Wembley Stadium as a possible venue.“I think the fight can absolutely happen,” Bidarian told Sky Sports. “I think experience-wise wise Jake is learning very fast and growing, and Joshua is a little long in the tooth, so it could be a very interesting match-up and we’re actively discussing it with Matchroom…“I think we’re looking at it happening in Q1 of 2026. That’s the current discussion. “I think it’s public that AJ was taking some time away; he had a little surgery. “Once he’s ready, and once Jake is ready, we’re going to squarely focus on that.“Ultimately, it’s not a fight that I want Jake to do; it’s a fight that Jake wants to do. “That’s a discussion we’ve had at length, and he feels very confident about where he is in his career and his chances of upsetting Anthony Joshua.“We’re looking at multiple options. Wembley is definitely a possibility. Jake has said he’d like to do it there. “He likes the idea of going in and hearing 90,000 people booing him. He feeds off that. Bidarian is negotiating the fight with Matchroom on Paul’s behalfGETTY“We’re looking at the US, Saudi Arabia is also an option, the Middle East is an option as a whole, but we want to do it in the most impactful way possible.”What are Anthony Joshua’s next fight options?AJ’s options remain open at this time.In recent weeks, Joshua has been linked with a fight against fellow Olympic gold medallist, Tony Yoka. The idea is that it would serve as a tune-up for the highly anticipated all-British showdown with Tyson Fury. However, Paul may bypass this plan to face Paul instead of Yoka. The money would certainly be higher, while interest in Yoka has waned since his three-fight losing streak to Martin Bakole, Carlos Takam and Ryad Mehry between 2022 and 2023.
