The half-time whistle has blown between Tottenham and Arsenal in the North London Derby in Hong Kong, and the player ratings are in.Tottenham half-time player ratings vs ArsenalGuglielmo Vicario – It was all Arsenal in the opening five minutes, but their dominance did not see them threaten Vicario’s goal with a shot on target. 7.Pedro Porro – The Spanish full-back had Tottenham’s best chance, with his corner almost finding the back of the net after it evaded everyone, the post coming to Arsenal’s rescue. Porro also did his fair share of defending, getting in a solid block after Romero’s mistake saw Rice go through on goal. 8.Cristian Romero – Has been key in the build-up from behind by Tottenham, with his passing finding its targets more often than not. However, he seems to be struggling with Arsenal’s long balls from deep. 7.Micky van de Ven – The pacy Dutchman has also been key in the build-up phase for Tottenham, with his passing helping them to progress the ball high up the pitch. A solid display, as his pace helps Frank’s side maintain a high defensive line, which Arsenal are looking to play over. 7.Djed Spence – Has kept Saka quiet. The full-back looks to be rather conservative in this clash, as he is not making constant bombing runs ahead of Odobert. He is also tucking in during the buildup, helping Tottenham build with a three from behind. 7.Rodrigo Bentancur – The Uruguayan is keeping things ticking in midfield, as he is a big part of Spurs’ build-up. His passing has been tidy. Bentancur did, however, pick up a booking in the first half after a tackle on Saka. 7.Photo by Yu Chun Christopher Wong/Eurasia Sport Images/Getty ImagesPape Matar Sarr – Was used in the number ten role against Wycombe, where he looked like a natural goal scorer. However, this time he is part of a double pivot with Bentancur. Sarr looks more defensive in this clash and has not put a foot wrong. The midfielder’s goalscoring instinct was on display once more, as his chip shot from midfield found the back of the net, with Raya left in no man’s land. 9.Lucas Bergvall – It was revealed that Thomas Frank was experimenting with Bergvall as his ten ahead of this tie, and that is exactly where the young Swede has been deployed. Nothing extraordinary done by Bergvall so far, but he has definitely looked to press from the front. 6.Wilson Odobert – Very bright opening half from Wilson Odobert, who has kept White on his toes. The young Frenchman went close around the halfway point of the first half, hitting the post. His defensive work rate has been equally as impressive, often helping Spence with Saka. 8Mohammed Kudus – The Spurs’ new signing is currently having his first taste of a North London Derby, and his performance thus far is one that he can be proud of. Very direct, showing fight and a willingness to work hard off the ball. 7.Richarlison – The Brazilian has had some good opportunities to give Tottenham the lead in this friendly clash, with both coming from set plays. His header was too weak after Porro’s corner came off the post and into his path. He also made a mess of another clear-cut chance after Kudus’ corner ricocheted off the post and found its way to him. Needs to be sharper. 6.The post Tottenham half-time ratings vs Arsenal as Pape Sarr scores from the halfway line appeared first on Spurs Web.
