1.5 lakh farmers in Eluru dist. will benefit from Annadata Sukhibhava, says Minister

The financial support under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme to be launched in the State on August 2 will provide immediate relief to thousands of farmers, particularly during the crucial cropping cycle, said Housing, Information, and Public Relations Minister Sri Kolusu Parthasaradhi.In Eluru district, 1,51,694 farmers will benefit from the scheme, while in the Nuzvid Assembly constituency, 33,405 farmers will receive the amount directly in their bank accounts on August 2 itself.In the first phase, farmers will receive ₹7,000, — ₹2,000 from the Central government and ₹5,000 from the State government. This will be followed by ₹7,000 in the second phase and ₹6,000 in the third phase, totalling ₹20,000, bringing significant investment support to farmers throughout the agricultural season, the Minister said.The government hopes this measure will ease the financial burden on cultivators, promote timely investment in agriculture, and strengthen trust in public welfare governance, he added.Published - July 31, 2025 09:49 pm IST
