On July 27, law enforcement responded to an emergency at the theme park’s employee housing complex on First Street in Sandusky. Police later confirmed that a Six Flags Entertainment Corporation employee had died after jumping from one of the housing buildings. In an Instagram story, @CedarPoint shared that Cedar Point Shores Waterpark would be closed on July 31, and tickets dated for Thursday would automatically be valid through the end of the 2025 season on September 1. It was previously scheduled to be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.“Due to weather conditions, Cedar Point Shores Waterpark will not open today, Thursday, July 31,” the notice reads. “Waterpark tickets purchased for today will be valid until September 1, 2025.”Credit: @CedarPoint via InstagramCedar Point later posted the same notice on its website.
