By giving it to you, I give it to the heroic and victorious people of Iran. Iran can always count on Venezuela.”Sahar Emami achieved national hero status in Iran during the illegal bombing by remaining on live broadcast despite air raid alarms. She continued the live transmission, demonstrating that “the voice of truth cannot be silenced,” as she said on air during the bombing.Iran’s News Anchor Sahar Emami Awarded Venezuela’s Simón Bolívar Journalism PrizePresident Maduro praised Emami’s courage against the attempt to silence her. “A journalist who entered the beautiful history of our people’s struggle,” he said. “They tried to silence her with a missile.
