Glorious Goodwood 2025 Day four betting tips

Wait 5 sec.

Friday at Glorious Goodwood is where things really start to heat up – on the track and in the betting ring. With the King George Qatar Stakes taking centre stage, it’s a proper punters’ playground full of speedsters, tricky handicaps, and the chance to land a few nice-priced winners before the weekend. It’s the sort of day where you don’t need to follow the favourites to find a winner – there’s each way value all over the card if you’re willing to dig a little deeper. With big-field handicaps and wide-open betting heats, Glorious Goodwood Friday offers plenty of chances to find overpriced runners and beat the bookies at their own game.Top Glorious Goodwood 2025 offerSee all Glorious Goodwood free bets and offers from our partnersGlorious Goodwood Day 4 (Friday) tips1.20 Sheradann 8/1 each way1.55 King Of Cities 11/42.30 Greek Order 8/1 each way3.05 Big Mojo 11/2 each way3.45 Godwinson 11/2 each way4.20 Old Is Gold 10/34.55 Yabher 6/1 each way*odds from bet365 are predicted and subject to changeJoe’s best horse racing betting tips for Glorious Goodwood on FridayFind my top tips for today’s racing with odds from the best horse racing bookies below:1.20 Coral Goodwood Handicap (Class 2) 2m41/2fWith testing ground no problem SHERADANN should run well here for Ian Williams. He ran a decent race in defeat at this track when third to Aggagio over 2 miles and backed that up with another big run at Newcastle last time. He shapes like he’ll appreciate this marathon test and he looks a nice each way price.Mordor arrives in good form having won at Killarney on penultimate start and he wasn’t beaten too far at the Curragh when last seen. He has a nice weight and should give his running.Trends8 of the last 12 winners were aged between 4 and 62 of the last 12 winners were favourites or joint favourites10 of the last 12 winners carried 9 stone or less9 of the last 12 winners were rated 88 or less Bet on SHERADANN each way at 8/1 with bet365 1.55 Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes (Group 3) 1mIt is a shame we won’t see Opera Ballo but that is understandable given the amount of rain we had yesterday. I can’t help but feel Cosmic Year is a bit short now. He is almost favourite by default but has a bit to prove following that disappointing run in France last month. I prefer the chances of KING OF CITIES who still retains potential himself. He was a good third at Newmarket last month and with this slower ground in his favour and Ryan Moore booked for the ride he could take a bit of beating. It is not just a two horse race as Seagulls Eleven ran well in front of the selection at Newmarket and on his best form has a definite squeak. Diego Ventura is also not just there to make up the numbers.Trends5 of the last 12 winners were favourites and 9 of 12 top 3 in the betting6 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before2 of the last 12 winners had at least 1 previous run at Goodwood9 of the last 12 winners had a rating of 106 or higher Bet on KING OF CITIES to win at 11/4 with bet365  2.30 Coral Golden Mile (Heritage Handicap) 1mThe Golden Mile is always a fascinating betting heat and while both Skukuza and Tribal Chief have pressing claims I’ve managed to look away from the top of the market. GREEK ORDER has done nothing wrong since joining this yard beaten just over a length at Royal Ascot and then an excellent third in another valuable pot at Sandown. He has been left off the same mark and given he is versatile regarding the ground and has Oisin Murphy booked connections must fancy another big run here.I know this has been the target for Tribal Chief for a while so with Soumillon booked he should run a big one. Fifth Column would be a danger to all if handling the ground but he has that to prove.Trends8 of the last 12 winners were aged between 3 and 53 of the last 12 winners were favourites or joint favourites9 of the last 12 winners carried 9 stone 3lb or less9 of the last 12 winners were rated 96 or higher Bet on GREEK ORDER to win each way at 8/1 with bet365 3.05 King George Qatar Stakes (Group 2) 5fHighfield Princess won this as a three-year-old 2 years ago so BIG MOJO could prove up to the task. He won the Molecomb over C&D at this meeting last year and ran a huge race in the July Stakes going down just a neck to No Half Measures clear from the third. He is clearly suited by this track and if handling the ground has got to go close.Asfoora hasn’t won since winning at Royal Ascot last year and despite running well back at that venue last time I’m struggling to warm to her here especially at the current price. Time For Sandals impressed winning the Commonwealth Cup and looks a greater danger for Harry Eustace who is a trainer that does well with the string he has.Trends8 of the last 12 winners were aged 4 or older6 of the last 12 winners were favourites or joint favourites and 9 of 12 top 3 in the betting4 of the last 12 winners won on their last run before9 of the last 12 winners had a rating of 111 or higher Bet on BIG MOJO each way at 11/2 with bet365 3.45 Regent Seven Seas Cruises Bentinck Conditions Stakes (Class 2) 1m1fThe way GODWINSON flew home late to win the Lincoln on reappearance I definitely think he’ll be suited by going up a furlong in trip here. He won with something to spare at Newcastle last time and arrives here firmly on the upgrade now. Haggas is still flying and they would have targeted this race with him. He has run once at this track which has resulted in a win over a mile and I’m struggling to find many chinks in his armour.Liberty Lane has the form to be a big danger but he let backers down in the Wolferton so has a point to prove after that. Fox Legacy has won 2 of his last 3 and that was a career-best at York so he could be the danger despite the market not warming to him as of yet. Bet on GODWINSON each way at 11/2 with bet365 4.20 Hawes & Curtis Nursery (Class 2) 6fNow the unbeaten Godolphin horse Rising Power has been taken out OLD IS GOLD should take a bit of beating for team Wathnan. This colt by Mehmas looked good winning at Beverley on just his second start and then was pitched into the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot last time. Now pitched into a nursery his opening mark could easily underestimate him. The ground should dry out through the day so as long as it isn’t too testing he will go close.Shaman Champion can do better but he didn’t entirely convince over 6f at Newbury and might be better dropped back to the minimum in time. Golden Brown is another one who could be in the mix. Bet on OLD IS GOLD to win at 10/3 with bet365 4.55 Coral Pipped At The Post Winners Handicap (Class 3) 1m3fA fiercely competitive finale to close out but YABHER looks decent each way value for William Haggas. This 3yo by Sea The Stars came good at Sandown last month showing a good attitude to prevail. He has gone up 6lb but has scope for further improvement and seems to have gone under the radar somewhat.Munsif won his first two starts and then went down less than a length at York. Freshened up he could be a big player left off an unchanged mark. Sea Of Kings could also be an improver in here so plenty in with chances. Bet on YABHER each way at 6/1 with bet365 My top tip for Friday’s racing at Glorious Goodwood 2025I’m looking forward to seeing BIG MOJO in the King George and if he handles the ground I think he’ll take quite a lot of beating. Obviously that is a big if but it should be drying out all the time and we know he loves the track. GODWINSON has been progressive and he looks decent value to make it 3/3 for the season.
