A One UI 8.5 firmware was leaked online today. We already got our hands on it and confirmed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature Qualcomm's upcoming flagship chipset which may be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. It was rumored a few days ago that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will also support a faster charging speed of 60W. This has also been confirmed through the firmware today. Samsung aims to strike a compromise for fans@erenylmaz075 on X has also dug into the firmware and found confirmation that the Galaxy S26 Ultra does indeed support 60W fast charging. This would be a welcome upgrade as Samsung is expected to retain the battery capacity at 5,000mAh. The Galaxy S25 Ultra currently supports fast charging at 45W. All signs now point to Samsung bumping it up to 60W for the device's successor which is set to arrive early next year. It would do well to appease fans who would otherwise be not too happy with the battery capacity not being upgraded. Samsung is also expected to make its next flagship phone thinner and lighter, with rumors hinting at a slim profile measuring under 7mm. It may also be a few grams lighter than the outgoing model. Some meaningful upgrades may also be made to the camera setup, including a new primary sensor alongside a new 3x telephoto and 5x periscope lens. All of this, coupled with the latest Qualcomm chipset under the hood, would be more than enough to get Samsung fans excited for the new flagship. The post One UI 8.5 leak confirms 60W fast charging for Galaxy S26 Ultra appeared first on SamMobile.
