With Evo 2025 kicking off later today, a heaping helping of fighting game news is set to be unleashed throughout the weekend. Atari, Digital Eclipse, and NetherRealm Studios have kicked things off in bloody style, as they've announced that Mortal Kombat Trilogy--the "everyone is here" 2D MK game from the mid-'90s--will officially be part of Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection, which will launch later this year.A new 30-second trailer confirms Trilogy's inclusion in the Legacy Collection, along with brief gameplay footage from the 1996 fighter. Atari has also confirmed that those attending Evo 2025 can visit the Atari booth to get hands-on with Mortal Kombat Trilogy as it will appear in the Legacy Collection. Along with Mortal Kombat Trilogy's addition to the collection, Atari has also announced that MKLC will be available in three different editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Kollector's. The Deluxe edition will include a steelbook case, magnet, poster, and more, while the Kollector's Edition will include a controller holder shaped like the four-armed Goro, an arcade token commemorating the collection, and more.Continue Reading at GameSpot
