If you’re heading to Disney World, get used to the ubiquitous construction walls at the parks. With Disney demolishing and rebuilding significant portions of nearly every park, EPCOT excluded, Disney World guests will have to live with those walls for the foreseeable future.Credit: Inside the Magic Rebekah B.Guests know going into a Disney World trip, a large portion of Magic Kingdom will be closed for the new Cars Land. At Animal Kingdom, guests see that the construction walls are up around the former DinoLand U.S.A. to construct the new Tropical Americas Land.At Hollywood Studios, the walls surround the former Muppets Courtyard and Animation Courtyard for previously announced projects, including the construction of the new Monsters, Inc. Land. However, it’s the unannounced projects that add new construction walls that are annoying guests the most.Credit: DisneyAccording to Blog Mickey, Disney has erected new construction walls around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, near the area where it meets Toy Story Land. The new walls begin in Toy Story Land and end at the edge of Batuu.At the edge of Toy Story Land, these walls run parallel to the walls that were already erected for a construction project, significantly decreasing the pathway between the two lands. What is unclear at the moment is exactly what Disney is doing behind these walls.Credit: Brittany DiCologero, Inside the MagicFrom the pathway, guests can see that several trees are tagged with a pink ribbon, which could indicate they are to be removed from the area. However, beyond the pink ribbon, there is little other evidence of construction happening behind the walls.It is also unclear if this construction project is related to the work currently being done in Toy Story Land. While the walls in Toy Story Land are bright, vibrant colors, the walls outside Galaxy’s Edge are simple and brown, the kind of fence one would put up to annoy their next-door neighbor.Credit: DisneySo, what is Disney up to here?
