Trump had previously announced that duties would rise from a baseline of 10% to 30% starting August 1 if no agreement was reached.Trump said the US would not lower its proposed 15% across-the-board tariff rate for the EU. They’ll go into place,” he said, adding that large economies could continue trade discussions with the US.During the talks, von der Leyen described Trump as “a tough negotiator and dealmaker,” according to CNN.Story continues below this adMore details on the framework and next steps are expected in the coming days.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© IE Online Media Services Pvt LtdTags:Doanld Trump
