Actor Kristin Scott Thomas has revealed the heartbreaking personal events as the central idea behind ‘My Mother’s Wedding.’The comedy-drama, set to release on August 8, will mark her directorial debut after co-writing the screenplay with her husband, John Micklethwait.Kristin Scott Thomas plays Diana Frost, the twice-widowed mother preparing for her third wedding.Hollywood actors Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller and Emily Beecham play her daughters.The film follows the three sisters struggling in different ways with the loss of a father or stepfather.Thomas has now revealed that ‘My Mother’s Wedding’ is a narrative-based film on grief and recovery and originates from her personal history.“When I was five, my father was killed, and my mother remarried. And tragically, he was killed five years later.
