An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 occurred in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, at 4:05 pm local time near Severo-Kuril'sk, Sakhalin Oblast, Russia, as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a moderately shallow depth of 53. km.
