Hell, I have MS & struggle through the summer. My kids are used to having "snacks" in the freezer....what's there now??? Premade rolls with turkey & cheese and rolls with salami, pepperoni, ham, & cheese, diy condiments-lol Last night we had a real nice "meal"(I do try my best)....grilled steak & boiled potatoes. That's it. Tonight were having fried zucchini & diy tacos(I will make the meat & i got HUGE zucchini for 50c(they're 14/16" long & 3" across)...yes, I know large ones arent as tender, but i can feed my whole family of 6 fried zucchini for $1...not the best for other things, but fried & zucchini bread, theyre great & stupid cheap) Tomorrow we are having 3 items 😲 smoked chicken, coleslaw(i make my dressing, use pre-shredded CS mix), & baked beans(from a can). No clue beyond that, however meat & potatoes, meat & salad, meat & a side....VERY common in my house all summer!! Come see me in fall/winter, we will have meals with 3-5 sides, summer?? Yeah, not happening, 18y in with PPMS, it ain't happening. Heck, for a full week my kids had egg salad & homemade bread...I had appts & just couldnt, but they still ate!!! We have 2 ingredient meals ALL.SUMMER.LONG. Guess what?? We're all just fine. There are people who survive on ramen for years at a time. There are people in this world that eat rice or porridge as the only item in their diet for decades. While I am not advocating for long term malnutrition, we do what we have to do!!! Fact is, to some extent this is NORMAL!!! Guess she just needed a reason to beg for weed 🤷♀️
