Let’s discuss a few rides Disney would be crazy to change or get rid of.The Twilight Zone Tower of TerrorCredit: Inside the MagicRelated: The Most Underrated Rides at Walt Disney World, ExplainedFew Disney rides stand as tall or provide as many thrills as the Tower of Terror. A staple of Walt Disney World since it opened in 1994, the Tower of Terror invites guests to take the plunge and step into their own episode of The Twilight Zone. While some may consider the ride’s ties to the legendary CBS series corny or tacky, we can’t help but think that The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is one of Disney’s best creations to date.Blending Disney Imagineering’s talents with the world of The Twilight Zone was a stroke of genius, and packaging it all together in the form of a drop tower ride was a perfect choice. The ride remains one of the most iconic and popular rides at Walt Disney World, but this doesn’t mean it’s completely safe from being overhauled. In 2017, Disneyland’s version of the Tower of Terror became Guardians of the Galaxy—Mission: Breakout. The ride itself operates the same, though references to The Twilight Zone were swapped for a new story centered around Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.Fans have theorized that Disney World’s version of the Tower of Terror might get the same treatment, but so far, it seems like the attraction is staying as-is.Pirates of the CaribbeanCredit: Inside the MagicRelated: Legendary Snack Shop Closing Next Week at Disney WorldWhile it may be slow, dated, and not as thrilling as some of Disney World’s other attractions, there’s simply no denying just how iconic and charming Pirates of the Caribbean is. The classic Magic Kingdom attraction has delighted and entertained riders for decades, and while many claim it’s not as good as the original version found in Disneyland, Magic Kingdom’s Pirates is still a great time.A big part of this ride’s magic lies within its animatronics. While a staple of Disney theme parks, animatronics are becoming few and far between as Disney and the rest of the theme park industry focus more on screen-based experiences. This isn’t to say Disney hasn’t placed some incredible animatronics in its rides lately, but few have quite as many as Pirates of the Caribbean. The ride’s atmosphere, vibe, and music are also incredible, fully immersing guests in the attraction’s world. The ride has certainly seen its fair share of upgrades and overhauls over the years, but for the most part, Pirates of the Caribbean is the same ride it’s been since it opened back in 1973, and we hope it stays that way.Living with the LandCredit: Brittany DiCologero, Inside the MagicRelated: New Magic Kingdom Parade Proves How Miserable Many Disney Fans AreAlthough Living with the Land is probably not a ride readers expected to see in an article like this, it is perhaps one of the most unique theme park rides in the world and 100% belongs on this list.Meant to educate and entertain, Living with the Land harkens back to a forgotten era of EPCOT and Disney World, making it one of the most magical attractions out there.Living with the Land is hardly thrilling or exciting, actually the exact opposite, taking riders around a greenhouse at incredibly slow speeds. But rarely do theme parks give guests look behind the scenes like Living with the Land.During their journey, guests will see the inner workings of EPCOT’s greenhouse and gardens and peek at advancements in the agriculture field. They will also see some incredible dioramas and show scenes that help establish the importance of the Earth, agriculture, and conservation.Living with the Land isn’t for everyone, but for those who “get it,” it’s one of the most special attractions at Walt Disney World, and for that reason, we hope it stays untouched.Do you agree with our list?
