I'll put the marker on the table.We're not going anywhere and there are four possible scenarios, all but one of which end in "we're stuck here on this rock called Earth."We're unique across the universe. That is, the development of sentient life happened nowhere else. This is extremely unlikely on a statistical basis just given the number of stars and thus presumed number of possible places it could have happened in the universe -- but it is not impossible. This is the only scenario under which we can escape this rock and populate other words and it is so wildly improbable that anyone who believes that is true is more than a bit crazy.
