What you described are symptoms of inhalant allergies to things like dust, pollen, etc. Allergies to foods usually present differently, with symptoms such as itchy mouth, swollen lips, irritated airway, skin rash, hives, etc. In severe cases, a food allergy can cause anaphylaxis which is deadly if not treated immediately with an epi-pen.
