Country: Haiti Source: United Nations Population Fund Please refer to the attached file. Escalating gang violence in Haiti in June and July 2025 has deepened the humanitarian crisis, particularly in Artibonite, West, and Centre departments. Women and girls are facing heightened risks, with displacement, insecurity, and service disruption limiting access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and gender-based violence (GBV) services. Armed attacks have driven tens of thousands from their homes, and widespread insecurity, including unregulated deportations and collapsing essential services, has overwhelmed local response capacity.Despite major access and funding constraints, UNFPA reached 12,688 people with SRH and GBV services over the reporting period. Mobile clinics delivered reproductive health care, family planning, psychosocial support, and emergency referrals in displaced sites. GBV prevention and response efforts included community outreach, hotline services, dignity kit distribution, cash assistance, and vocational training for GBV survivors with disabilities. UNFPA also supported deliveries in health facilities and distributed 54 reproductive health kits to ensure continuity of care, including for clinical management of rape.UNFPA’s humanitarian appeal for Haiti in 2025 is US$28.9 million, yet as of July only US$2.6 million has been received — just 8 per cent of the required funding. This critical shortfall is severely limiting operations at a time of expanding need. Urgent financial support is essential to scale up protection and life-saving health services for the most vulnerable, especially displaced women and girls.
