A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday between the Guyana Office for Investment (GO-Invest) and Procolombia to boost economic relations between Guyana and Colombia.Signing the document were GO-Invest’s Chief Investment Officer, Dr. Peter Ramsaroop, and Procolombia’s Director for the Caribbean, Mr. Rafael Cuesta. Procolombia is the organisation responsible for promoting tourism and foriegn investment in Colombia.Addressing a Colombian delegation at the Aiden by Best Western Hotel in Georgetown, Dr. Ramsaroop praised the existing relationship between the two South American nations and welcomed the MoU as a way for continued development.Dr. Ramsaroop spoke about the recent advances between the countries, stating, “This is a great moment for us because we’ve been working with the Colombian Government and the investors over the last year or two.
