Steps will be taken to ensure water in Kapaleeswarar temple tank: Minister

Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department P.K. Sekarbabu on Tuesday said that steps will be taken to ensure water is available in the Kapaleeswarar Temple tank in Mylapore.Speaking to presspersons after inspecting the tank that is dry despite frequent rains, he said that a team of experts from the Water Resources Department will submit a report as to how the tank can be restored. The tank, which got a clay bed in 2004 and has four borewells, has a central Neeraazhi Mandapam and has several stormwater drains connected to it. The mandapam was recently painted.
