The inflation data due from Australia today will be of great interest to the Reserve Bank of Australia. The Bank meet next on August 11-12 and a 25bp rate cut is widely expected. Eyes are on the core rate (trimmed mean ... ps. the calendar lists it as 'RBA Trimmed Mean', which is weird, the data come from the Australian Bureau of Statistics). I popped a preview of this data up here earlier in the week:Australian inflation data due this week (Wednesday) is a HUGE event for the RBA outlookThis snapshot from the economic data calendarThe times in the left-most column are GMT.The numbers in the right-most column are the 'prior' (previous month/quarter as the case may be) result.
