Multi-vehicle collision closes Toronto-bound QEW lanes in St. Catharines

A major collision involving multiple vehicles and two tractor-trailers has shut down all Toronto-bound lanes of the QEW at Niagara Street in St. Catharines on Monday morning.Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the crash occurred shortly before rush hour and involved at least six vehicles. Burlington OPP officers are currently on scene managing the closure and investigating the cause of the collision.Details about injuries remain unknown at this time.Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
