Growing up, Daddy filled our home with country and gospel tunes, always saying, “Listen close, Tyla—there’s a message in there.” Those lyrics? Pure gold. They stuck with me like honey on a biscuit. Fast-forward to today, and with censors clamping down on free speech (our European friends can’t even access us on social media anymore), I’m channeling that inner country and gospel spirit like you see in the McKibben video above. A Detour Through Sophia and the Feminist FirestormBack in 2014, I published The Gospel of Sophia, hoping to spark a celebration of the Divine Feminine. It is filled with thoughts, imagery, and poetry of Sophia. I thought women everywhere would embrace the Divine Feminine, and we could antidote feminism with beauty and grace. Boy, was I in for a surprise! As a newbie to the internet wilds, I was shredded by angry feminists who hurled some seriously mean vibes my way. Ouch! I’d hang out in his basement studio, surrounded by awards, celeb photos, and endless advertising wisdom. Retired but razor-sharp, Jerry treated me like his final protégée before he passed in 2007.
