Months before the premiere of “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, a piece of the Tree of Life attraction made its surprise debut. The original Tree of Life Theater 3-D attraction, It’s Tough To Be A Bug!, closed permanently in March. Walt Disney Imagineering announced the closure at D23 Expo 2024, revealing plans to build a Zootopia (2016) themed show in its place. It’s Tough To Be A Bug! was an opening-day attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and had performed for nearly 27 years by the time it closed in early 2025.“Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” will feature a new song performed by Ginnifer Goodwin, the original voice of Judy Hopps. Early concept art for the 3-D show suggests it will feature an advanced Clawhauser audio-animatronic, like the one in the Zootopia: Hot Pursuit ride at Shanghai Disneyland.Credit: DisneyWalt Disney World Resort has yet to announce a grand opening date for “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” beyond late 2025. Previous collections have included designs inspired by the Disney100 celebration and Walt Disney World Resort‘s 50th anniversary. The vending machine accepts cash or credit cards, but guests must purchase all four designs to use a credit card.
