Pittsburgh Steelers release old washed up Cordarrelle Patterson on his day off,” Patterson posted on X.The Steelers had Monday off, as they prepare for their first padded practice of training camp on Tuesday.The seven-time All-Pro only played one season in Pittsburgh, appearing in 13 regular season games and one postseason game.He originally signed a two-year contract with the Steel City franchise in April 2024.The Steelers have had one of their busiest offseason in franchise history, acquiring star quarterback Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf, along with defensive back Jalen Ramsey.Before that he had spent three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. The return ace has been in the league since 2013, first with the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots and Chicago Bears.With the Patriots he helped Tom Brady win his sixth Super Bowl ring when they defeated the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII.
