The Kansas City Chiefs have bolstered their depth chart amid injuries to a number of key players ahead of the new season.KC have signed wide receiver Kwamie Lassiter II after Xavier Worthy entered the concussion protocol on Wednesday.Kwamie Lassiter II was most recently with the BengalsGETTYWorthy banged his head on the ground in Tuesday’s practise after competing for a deep pass and landing hard on the turf.Before the 22-year-old can return to the team he will have to clear the full concussion protocol.What other players are the Chiefs missing?On Wednesday, the Chiefs were also missing their two wide receivers, Skyy Moore, due to a hamstring injury, and Hollywood Brown, who has an issue with his ankle.The wide receiver position has been an area that has needed attention from head coach Andy Reid for some time now, with Rashee Rice also missing time following an NFL suspension due to his role in a Dallas car crash.The Chiefs had added depth to their receiver position last week when they signed free agent Hal Presley to their 90-man roster ahead of training camp.But after Justyn Ross was cut last week, the Chiefs had a vacancy at wide receiver.A spot that Lassiter has now filled.It caps off a memorable few days for the Chiefs, who are in the middle of an Arrowhead Stadium relocation dilemma.First, Reid and Travis Kelce had to step in after Chiefs rookie Josh Simmons threw punches.
