Later, the appellate tribunal also set aside the attachment order, and the same has been accepted.A property belonging to Pune-based builder Avinash Bhosale is likely to be released soon as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has made a request regarding the same to the government after the builder was discharged by a Special Court in Mumbai in December 2022.The said property was attached in an alleged money laundering case.The ED Mumbai Zone-2 office on June 12 this year wrote to the Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamps, Pune, requesting the government department to release the seized property in the case related to ARA Properties and Avinash Bhosale.The said property, Plot 2, Yashwant Ghadge Nagar Cooperative Housing Society, Range Hill Corner, Ganeshkhind Road, Pune, MH, 411007, was provisionally attached by ED on August 7, 2021, in connection with the alleged money laundering case against Ara Properties and Avinash Bhosale registered on the basis of the land-grabbing case.However, the special PMLA court on December 6, 2022, and April 12, 2023, discharged all the accused in the case, as the predicate offence registered by Pune’s Chaturshringi police under sections of cheating and criminal breach of trust, among other charges, was closed by the first probe agency through closure summary report.Later, the appellate tribunal also set aside the attachment order, and the same has been accepted.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:MumbaiPrevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA)
