A fisherman has been remanded to prison after being charged with the murder of Gavin Daniels, also known as “Talk to Me,” a 38-year-old Amerindian laborer from Moleson Creek, Corentyne, Berbice.Mohamed Fazar Ally, 24, a fisherman from Jackson Creek in Corentyne Berbice, appeared at the Springlands Magistrates Court before Magistrate Tuanna Hardy on Thursday.Ally was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge.Magistrate Hardy emphasized the gravity of the charge and ordered Ally to be remanded in custody.He is scheduled to return to court on August 8, 2025.Reports indicate that the incident occurred around 8:00 PM on Monday when a disagreement between Ally and Daniels escalated into violence, leading to Ally stabbing Daniels multiple times.Daniels was rushed to Skeldon Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.Following the incident, Ally was arrested and brought before the court to face the murder charge.The post Fisherman remanded for death of Moleson Creek man appeared first on News Room Guyana.
