It was the first time in the series he’d reached 20 and not gone on to score 100.Tea was taken early and a long evening session awaited India who were battling to stay afloat and it didn’t take long for England to strike again with first Sudharsen caught behind for 38 and then Ravindra Jadeja going the same way for 9. Both dismissals down to brilliance from Josh Tongue who mixed the sublime with the ridiculous all day.When Dhruv Jurel sliced into the slips for 19 from Atkinson it looked like India might be bowled out for less than 200. Only for Washington Sundar (19) and Karun Nair (52) to see them to 204/6 at stumps with England looking deflated after the injury that befell one of the most popular characters within the squad.
