A Kentucky woman was arrested for trying to bring methamphetamine into Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. The guest claimed that a stranger at her non-Disney Resort hotel gave her the drugs.A newly released Orange County Sheriff’s Office report reveals that on May 20, 2025, Brandi Asher, 37, arrived at Walt Disney World Resort’s Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC). Here, guests park, ride parking trams, undergo security screening, and board Monorail or ferryboat transportation to Magic Kingdom Park (a transfer is also available to EPCOT, which offers its own separate parking lot).Around 9:30 a.m. that day, Disney security cast member Frederick Ciadrdi was searching Asher’s bag when he found a small metal tin and shook it. He was confused when the tin made no sound. Inside, he saw a mysterious substance that the woman later claimed she forgot was in her bag.“Frederick thought that was strange and opened the tin can and discovered small white items inside of the can, including a long white cylinder, which looked like a pen, and two small plastic baggies with something white inside of them,” a law enforcement officer explained in the arrest report. “Frederick asked Brandi what these items were. She advised it was medicine because she gets headaches. She stated it was ‘goodies [sic], headache power.’”Credit: Inside the MagicAsher tried to tell Ciadrdi to throw the tin’s contents away, but he told her he couldn’t do that. Then, she tried to take the items back.“Brandi started shaking and telling Frederick that he could just throw the items away,” the arrest report continued. “However, Frederick could not do that. Brandi became increasingly nervous and started putting the items from the can into her pockets.”An Orange County Sheriff’s deputy arrived and identified the substance as methamphetamine, and the “long white cylinder” as a tube often used to snort meth. The officer later reported that Asher was “very honest” about the events leading to her bringing meth to Magic Kingdom Park.Credit: Inside the MagicThe Kentucky woman claimed that she and her husband were staying at the Westgate Resort when she was approached by a stranger, who offered her meth. She accepted, without telling her husband, and intended to leave the drugs in her hotel room before accidentally bringing them to Walt Disney World Resort.“Brandi was very honest about the situation in question,” the arresting officer wrote. “She pulled out a small, clear baggie that had the same crystal-like substance that matched what was inside the tin can. […] Inside Brandy’s front left pocket, there were two crystal rocks matching the other substances.”Credit: Frank Phillips, FlickrIn June, Asher pleaded not guilty to the third-degree felony charge of possession of methamphetamine.Walt Disney World Resort prohibits guests from bringing “marijuana (including marijuana enriched products) or any illegal substance” onto its property.Have you witnessed a security incident at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park?
