“It will happen again” – New banners erected in Iran’s capital threaten missile attacks on Israeli cities and US military bases.By World Israel News StaffThe Iranian government put up banners in Tehran recently threatening a new wave of ballistic missile attacks on Israeli cities and American military bases in the Middle East. The new banners were put up on Thursday, the anti-regime outlet Iran International reported, days after President Donald Trump told reporters he would “absolutely” back new Israeli airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs.Speaking with reporters on Monday during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump also hinted that the US might also join in the strikes in the event the administration determines Iran has resumed its uranium enrichment efforts.Three days later, Iran erected banners over Tehran streets reading “It Will Happen Again” and featuring maps of Israel with the Israeli flag crossed out, and photographs of sites targeted and struck by Iranian ballistic missiles during the 12-day war between the two countries last June. The photographs included strategic sites such as an oil refinery in the northern Israeli city of Haifa, a nearby power plant, and the Nevatim airbase in the Negev. The banners also warned of new attacks on the American military, and featured a photograph of the Al-Udeid airbase, a Qatari military facility used to house American forces. Following the US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in June, Iran launched missiles at the Al-Udeid base in retaliation. On Wednesday, a senior Iranian commander warned Israel not to carry out a new air campaign against the Islamic republic, following the meeting between Trump and Netanyahu.“Israel should remember the blows it received in the recent war and take a lesson from the previous attack before thinking of entering a new one,” said Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Ali Naeini.“Iran’s power is increasing by the day, and Israelis only talk about a weak Iran in the media while they themselves know very well how strong our missile capabilities are.”The post Tehran banners hint at new missile attacks on Israel appeared first on World Israel News.
