I do this regularly, and ive never touched hard drugs in my life. O do sit in town drinking alcohol sometimes though, and its always begging crackheads that ask me. I usually respond with NO; go ask a guy in a suit, not someone who sits with you on the street, despairing of their money / life situation. Dont tap a tapper dude. (Plus i never ask anyone for anything, i take a fucking musical instrument out and work for it, and usually just play for enjoyment, and sometimes get donations from friendly people who enjoy what im doing. Lots of people who donate me some small amount of cash tell me i should have a hat at my feet, so the people know. And im always like "im not actually busking. im just playing. And im not homeless, or addicted to drugs - but thank you very much for the donation, i'll buy a beer / sandwich / chocolate bar / whatever"
