Tottenham Hotspur fans are all saying the same thing about Heung-min Son’s latest links to the MLS, with many unconvinced by the reported interest from LAFC.Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-min Son has had his future up in the air this summer window. It was claimed a few days ago that Son is open to remaining at Tottenham up until January.Son currently has 12 months left on his current Tottenham contract, and has undoubtedly secured his place as a club legend, following Spurs’ Europa League win last season. The Tottenham captain managed 11 goals and 11 assists last term, one of his lowest since his debut season over a decade ago, but still interest in Son has been plenty, with clubs in the Middle East, America and Europe keeping tabs on the Korean star.Credit: @reclusemedia / InstagramTottenham fans react as LAFC push for Heung-min Son transferReports claim that LAFC are now pushing hard to sign Heung-min Son in this summer window. It is understood that no major progress has been made yet, but the MLS side is trying hard to get the South Korean superstar in their side this summer.Tottenham fans have not held back in their reactions, with many of them saying the same thing about the latest reports. One fan said: “Do not see it, if you give us £34m (€40m) they can have him but do not see them having that money.”Another added: “Makes sense for LAFC. High Korean and Korean American population in the Los Angeles and SoCal area, which could mean a huge boost in ticket and merchandise sales from those wanting to see Sonny in person. I hope that dressing room argument with Lloris was nothing serious and they made up.”The comments about LAFC not being able to pay as much continued: “If we want any money for him, we need him going East, not West. He is a commercial giant. If we are going to part ways this summer (which I think we should), he needs to be sold to Saudi or Qatar for real cash. Not the few million that LA could afford.”Another Tottenham supporter doubted the feasibility of a Heung-min Son transfer: “Spurs want £34m (€40m). MLS do not pay big transfer fees.” One more questioned: “You sure they can afford him?”Another reiterated: “Doubt they pay enough to get him with the wages he would want (£34-£42m plus £200-£250k a week seems a stretch).”One more added: “They would pay like £21m (€25m) max.”🚨🥇| LAFC is pushing hard to sign #Tottenham star Son Heung-min in this summer window. No major progress as yet, but LAFC trying hard to get the South Korean superstar for 2025 and beyond.@PaulTenorio pic.twitter.com/Q43miMxNn6— The Spurs Express (@TheSpursExpress) July 23, 2025Spurs stance on Son remains unchanged this summerDespite interest in their captain, it is understood that Tottenham are not looking to force Heung-min Son out the door this summer. However, reports claim that if a suitable offer comes in for Son, Tottenham will consider it. Still, there have been claims that Spurs could lose 75% of their pre-season appearance money if they sold Son before their Asia tour this summer, given some of the commercial agreements they have. That means if Tottenham are to part ways with their Korean star, they would be looking to do so after their pre-season tour. But it remains to be seen if Tottenham can sell Son, who is now 33 years old, for huge amounts to a side in the MLS.READ MORE: Former Tottenham maverick claims he regrets not signing for Arsenal insteadThe post Tottenham fans all have the same doubt about latest Heung-min Son transfer twist appeared first on Spurs Web.
