The dog’s owner, identified as 43-year-old Mohammad Sohail Hasan, was seated in the front of the rickshaw and can be seen laughing at the boy’s cries for help.As the video continues, the boy screams after the dog lunges at him, biting his chin. He somehow manages to flee the rickshaw, even as the dog grabs hold of his clothes. Several social media users demanded strict action against the dog’s owner. “How traumatic that experience would have been for the kid. These people sorry these psychopaths needs to punished severely, so that any idiot should never dare such atrocities. @MumbaiPolice please take action and check the mental health of the kid please,” a user wrote. Another person wrote, “It is the human that is the problem, not the animal.”“Same treatment should done to him (the dog’s owner),” another user commented. “India needs US type law enforcement. Following a complaint by child’s father, police filed an FIR on Friday. As per the FIR, the man allegedly let his dog loose on the boy, who had been playing inside a parked auto-rickshaw.The case has been filed under Section 291 (negligent handling of animals), Section 125 (causing simple hurt), and Section 125(A) of the Indian Penal Code (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita).
