The body of three-year-old Rishivraj, who drowned in the Chemballikundu river along with his mother M.V. Reema, was creamated on Wednesday near the same spot where his was mother was laid to rest a day ago.The childâs body was recovered on Tuesday evening near the railway bridge after a two-day search. Reemaâs body was found soon after the incident that happened on Sunday (July 20).In the incident, Reema with her son tied to her body had jumped into the Chemballikundu river from the a railway bridge in the early hours on Sunday (July 20), allegedly following ongoing domestic abuse.Meanwhile, her husband T. Kamalraj and his mother, both accused in a dometic violence case have gone in hiding. Local sources indicate that the duo have locked themselves inside their residence and are seeking legal counsel for anticipatory bail.
