As part of these efforts, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today inaugurated the renovated Nature Camp Thapali in the Morni region of Panchkula district. On this occasion, he also inaugurated the newly renovated Eco-Kutir and reviewed the facilities at the Ayurvedic Panchkarma Centre, taking stock of the available ayush services.Environment, Forest and Wildlife Minister Rao Narbir Singh and Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma were also present on the occasion.The Chief Minister also  flagged off the first group of trekkers on the natural trekking trail from Kalka to Kalesar. This trail will attract the youth of Haryana towards adventure tourism and contribute to the state’s emerging identity as a hub for nature and adventure tourism. He stated that adventure tourism resonates with the interests of today’s young generation and would not only expand tourism but also generate new employment opportunities for local youth.Promoting environmental awareness through plantation initiativesThe Chief Minister also promoted environmental conservation by planting saplings at Triphala Vatika in the Morni area. Emphasizing the state’s commitment to preserving and sustainably developing natural resources, he said, we are making continuous efforts to link tourism not only with entertainment but also with nature, culture, and health.During the visit, he visited the  Climate Change Learning Lab at the Nature Camp. Designed especially for children, this lab helps them understand the causes and solutions to environmental issues through interactive games. The lab aims to foster scientific awareness and instill a sense of environmental responsibility among young minds.Boost to local culture and Eco-TourismHighlighting the region’s natural charm, the Chief Minister said that Morni’s scenic beauty, biodiversity, and serene environment make it ideal for eco-tourism. The government envisions developing the area as a model of holistic eco-tourism, integrating local community participation and cultural heritage.He added that while improved infrastructure in these hilly areas would attract more tourists, it would also provide new livelihood opportunities for the local population. This service has been notified by the Haryana Government under the Right to Service Act, 2014.According to a notification issued in this regard by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, the concerned Deputy Superintendent has been named as the designated officer for this service related to getting a copy of documents. Similarly, the concerned estate officer will be the first grievance redressal authority while the zonal administrator will be the second grievance redressal authority.New Crèche Opens at New Haryana Civil Secretariat, Ushers in Support for Working Parents Haryana Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr. Sumita Misra, inaugurated a state-of-the-art crèche facility at the New Secretariat Building, Sector 17, Chandigarh. This pivotal initiative, conceptualized and driven by Dr. Misra, marks a new chapter in providing essential support to Haryana government employees, particularly working parents, by offering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for their young children. Currently there are 486 crèches facility functional across 22 districts of Haryana in which approx 10,000 children are enrolled, she added.During the inauguration, Dr. Misra emphasized the importance of such facilities in modern workplaces. She said that these facilities are progressive efforts towards creating an environment where our dedicated staff can thrive professionally without compromising their family responsibilities. This is more than just a facility; it’s an investment in our people and in the future of Haryana, she added. Dr. Misra said the new crèche is fully equipped with trained caregivers, engaging play facilities, and all essential amenities to cater to the infants and young children of Secretariat staff. Following the inauguration, an insightful tour of the facility was also conducted.District Programme Officer, Women & Child Development department, Dr. Savita Nehra expressed gratitude towards Dr. Sumita Misra to materialize this crèche in New Secretariat within one month. She added that the Haryana State Crèche Policy 2022, a pioneering initiative notified in July 2023, was envisioned and brought to fruition through the strenuous efforts of Dr. Sumita Misra during her tenure as Additional Chief Secretary, Women & Child Development department. This comprehensive, government-backed crèche framework positions Haryana as the first state in the country to introduce such a policy. Under her guidance, it has emerged as a national model for making high-quality childcare accessible, safe, and affordable for working parents across the state.Dr. Misra stated that the ‘The Haryana State Crèche Policy’ provides a comprehensive framework for crèche facilities, ensuring a holistic approach to childcare. Key features include a nurturing environment with trained childcare workers, regular medical check-ups and age-appropriate immunizations coordinated with local health functionaries.The policy also mandates comfortable sleeping arrangements, age-appropriate stimulation and learning materials focusing on holistic child development, and stringent safety and security measures, including entry cards for parents and staff. Furthermore, it emphasizes a recommended child-worker ratio of 1:25 for trained staff and ensures dedicated infrastructure with separate rooms for meals and sleeping, along with adequate space for play and other developmental activities.Large cold storage will be built in every district: Shyam Singh RanaOfficers Must Complete All Budget Announcements Within the Set Timeframe: Agriculture MinisterHaryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana said a large cold storage will be built in every district so that fruits and vegetables grown by farmers do not get spoiled and they can get better prices for their produce.He directed the officials to speed up work and emphasized that all announcements made in the Budget 2025–26 by the Chief Minister must be completed within the stipulated timeframe. Officers will be held accountable for any delay. Sh. Rana was chairing a meeting of horticulture and other related officials at his office today.The Agriculture Minister reviewed the status of horticulture-related budget announcements in detail. When he asked about the progress of setting up a modern processing and packaging plant for kinnow fruit in Sirsa, officials informed that 3 acres of land have been identified by the Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation and a draft DPR (Detailed Project Report) has been prepared. Further action will be taken soon.He was also informed that there are plans to establish similar advanced processing and packaging plants and mandis for guava in Hisar and Fatehabad, and work on these will begin shortly.During the meeting, it was informed that out of the 2,000 new Har-Hit stores announced in the state, agreements for 1,805 have been signed, and 1,284 stores have already been opened.When the Minister inquired about ensuring periodic increase in compensation amounts under the Mukhyamantri Bagwani Bima Yojana as per inflation, officials responded that the department is formulating a ‘Horticulture Policy’ and this matter is being included in it.Shyam Singh Rana directed officials to prioritize building one large cold storage facility in every district. He also said that owners of these storages should be encouraged to use solar energy to reduce costs and increase income. Under this scheme, there is a provision of 35% subsidy for setting up cold storage facilities of up to 5,000 metric tons capacity, amounting to between ₹1.68 crore and ₹2.10 crore per beneficiary.He further instructed officials to encourage farmers to grow crops that require less water, fertilizers, and pesticides. This would help conserve water and reduce health issues caused by chemically treated food.The Agriculture Minister was informed that farmers are being given ₹30,000 per acre for crops like turmeric, garlic, and ginger, and ₹15,000 per acre for spices like coriander and fenugreek.He also reviewed the efforts being made by the department to promote beekeeping and mushroom cultivation.Shyam Singh Rana said under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Various schemes are being implemented to reduce farming costs and increase their income.CISF gets “Battle Ready”: Begins Intensive Training with Indian Army CISF conducting full-scale batches of training at Indian Army Bases in Kashmir Valley Training Modules to cover night operations, jungle warfare, close-combat tactics, and endurance drillsCentral Industrial Security Force (CISF) has initiated intensive joint training exercises with the Indian Army in a major step toward strengthening its operational readiness amid evolving security challenges. This marks a significant move to make the Force “battle-ready” against unconventional and hybrid threats.Sharing information in this regard, Unit Commander, CISF Unit Punjab and Haryana Civil Secretariat Chandigarh, Lalit Pawar said that CISF’s battle-hardiness refers to preparing its personnel to swiftly and effectively respond to crises at high-value and high-risk installations—such as airports, nuclear facilities, government buildings, and Parliament. The emphasis is on handling complex, high-pressure scenarios such as drone incursions, coordinated terrorist attacks, insider threats, and sabotage operations with speed, precision, and calm.Specialised Training with the Army in Kashmir ValleyLalit Pawar said that for the first time, the CISF is conducting full-scale batches of training at elite Indian Army formations in the Kashmir Valley. Previously, only a limited number of CISF personnel were allotted seats for such exercises. Now, following close coordination between CISF and the Army—and in recognition of the critical national interest—the Army has agreed to provide comprehensive training modules to larger contingents. The modules include—Night Operations, Jungle Warfare, Close-Combat Tactics and Endurance-Building Drills.He said that these modules are designed to build on CISF’s already robust experience in urban counter-threat operations, while now enhancing its ability to operate in complex terrains and high-threat zones. The goal is to equip personnel to professionally handle contingencies such as armed infiltration, sabotage, and multi-pronged terror strikes in both urban and rural environments.He further shared that the personnel selected for this high-intensity training are part of CISF’s Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs)—the first responders to emergencies across all 369 units of the Force. Only those under 35 years of age and who have passed the Battle Physical Efficiency Test (BPET) aligned with National Security Guard (NSG) standards were eligible. Notably, these QRT members have already completed a rigorous six-month in-house CISF training prior to joining the Army module, he added.He said that CISF plans to expand this form of advanced combat training to more units, starting with the most sensitive and high-risk locations.
