Ages ago I had a guy approach me at a gas station asking for gas money. He was somewhat scruffy and anyone would have assumed he was homeless/panhandling. Before he approached me I did notice he pulled up in a BMW. Now I couldn't care less what one's predicament is but I did ask him where his car was. He said it was a few blocks away and ran out of gas. What he didn't realize is that I saw him pull into the lot so when I asked him "then who's BMW is that you came out of?" He left after a few choice words and a grin on my face. I've come across way too many people hitting me up for money. I don't even entertain the idea of striking up any kind of conversation. I just say "no" while I drill my stare into their eyeballs and that almost always has them turning around. Being nice just ends up having the word "sucker" on one's forehead.
