HIGHLIGHTSUNICEF provided medical kits in districts reporting measles outbreaks, supported two nationwide polio immunization campaigns (reaching 2,434,291 children with 100% coverage rate) and vaccinated 436 individuals at risk of Mpox.43% of targeted children were reached through Severe Acute Malnutrition management, while infant mortality was reduced through Vitamin A distribution, reaching 1,260,810 children. 174 health workers and 2,632 community relays were trained on nutrition practices.UNICEF facilitated access to education for 44,069 children while 15,055 received learning materials in crisis-affected areas. 285 teachers received training on basic pedagogy, mental health, and psychosocial support while awareness on the importance of education was raised and 2,000 girls are expected to enrol in school this year.WASH emergency needs of asylum seekers, refugees, and internally displaced persons were addressed, including in Mpox-related and seasonal flooding interventions. 18,000 people gained access to water, and 2,108 people to appropriate latrines. Additionally, 2,250 women and 750 girls received menstrual hygiene services.UNICEF supported the training of frontline officers in case management, which remained the primary modality for supporting vulnerable children. In addition to 410 children associated with armed groups, 1,620 survivors of sexual violence and 107 unaccompaniedseparated children were supported. 76% of targeted children living in high-risk areas were reached with Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) interventions.Despite constraints related to the RRM closure, UNICEF conducted 18 exploratory missions and 15 multi-sectoral assessments, leading to 25 interventions that addressed 53% of reported shocks. 30,941 individuals received NFIs, 7,923 households received hygiene kits, and 49,307 people gained access to safe water.
