(PTI Photo)A day after seven kanwariyas were booked for allegedly assaulting a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur railway station, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Sunday showered flower petals on the pilgrims in Meerut and advised them to maintain law and order and to approach the administration if they believe anyone is trying to disrupt the Kanwar Yatra.ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW VIDEOCM Adityanath issued a warning against any attempts to defame the Kanwar Yatra, both in person and on social media. He said strict action would be taken against those who create disturbances during the yatra. Following the event, those caught causing trouble will be publicly shamed through posters, he said.He also asked kanwar groups to identify such people amidst them and hand them over to police. “In case any miscreant tries to tarnish the Kanwar yatra, then instead of taking law into your own hands, you should approach the administration,” said Adityanath.“If any one takes route of ruckus to defame Kanwar Yatra, then we have CCTV footage of all of them.
