Matthijs de Ligt – 6Was given the task of tackling Leeds’ new man Lukas Nmecha, who looks a handful, but managed to keep him fairly quiet.Luke Shaw – 6Started on the left side of a back three and got through the first half without incident.Amad Diallo – 7Probably United’s most creative talent – which is not saying a lot – throughout a slow first half.Casemiro – 6Did not look outstanding in midfield.AlamyCasemiro had a mixed game in midfield[/caption]Bruno Fernandes – 5Playing in a deeper role but still put himself about a fair bit – though there was little end product.Diego Leon – 5Leeds were looking to get down United’s left hand side a fair bit and the new man looked very much an 18-year-old just arrived from Paraguay. He will improve but will need time.Toby Collyer – 6The academy graduate was started in a more advanced role here in Stockholm, allowing skipper Fernandes to get used to playing deeper before Bryan Mbeumo arrives. Worked hard but didn’t offer too much.Matheus Cunha – 6The new man was given a warm welcome for his first outing in a United shirt. Showed some flashes of talent and also anger – no real downside to this first performance.GettyChido Obi led the line for United[/caption]Chido Obi – 5Managed to draw a simple save from Karl Darlow but also risked the wrath of new man Cunha when he stole a shot off his toes.SECOND HALF TEAMTom Heaton – 8Two very fine saves in the space of nine second half minutes. The way United have been going with goalkeepers he could start on the opening day of the season.Diogo Dalot – 6Moved forwards well and created a good late chance for Patrick Dorgu, though it was wasted.Leny Yoro – 6Leeds proved more of a threat in the second half and Yoro managed it well as he looks to build up to a season without injury problems.GettyHarry Maguire was subbed off late on[/caption]Harry Maguire – 6Did not last the full second half, replaced with just over 15 minutes to go, but no glaring errors and was a fan favourite in Stockholm.Ayden Heaven – 6Showed his ability to step forwards a few times and marshalled the left of the back three well.Bendito Mantato – 5Where Diallo impressed down the right in this role before, Mantato was rather quieter after the break.Manuel Ugarte – 5The most you could say for the midfielder was that he got through without a glaring error and got some much needed minutes.AlamyManuel Ugarte marshalled the middle of the field[/caption]Kobbie Mainoo – 7Quiet early in the second half but looked to drive forwards more and more towards the end and came so close to winning it right at the death.Patrick Dorgu – 5Wasted a well set-up late chance, firing his shot from the edge of the box over the bar.Mason Mount – 5Nowhere near as effective between the lines as Cunha was in the first half and struggled to create too much.Rasmus Hojlund – 4Very much another anonymous performance from the struggling striker.AlamyRasmus Hojlund had another stinker up top[/caption]SUBSTyler Fredricson (Maguire, 74′) – n/aDidn’t make much of an impact in brief time on field.Jack Fletcher (Mantato, 80′) – n/aCame on too late to shake things up.
