Following the confirmation that Borderlands 4 will launch on October 3 for Switch 2, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has revealed a few more details about this version of the game. Responding to fans online, Pitchford said that Gearbox is aiming for the game to run at 30fps on Switch 2, but "intense" moments will see dips in performance. Pitchford also briefly confirmed that Borderlands 4 will support the Joy-Con 2's mouse mode."It was important to us to not cut anything and to support cross-play with other platforms," Pitchford explained. "It'll be mostly around 30fps, with some dips in some intense moments [of] heavy combats or if hosting a multiplayer game in handheld mode, etc."Anyone looking to buy a physical copy of Borderlands 4 for Switch 2 will also have to clear some space on the console, as Pitchford suggested that it might be sold as a Game-Key Card.
