The project will see Pop Century’s main lobby get a refresh.Below is the official announcement from Walt Disney World:From July 21 through early October, the lobby at Disney’s Pop Century Resort will get a retro-inspired refresh. The lobby will remain open during construction, and all amenities will still be available. Guests may hear or see maintenance in the area until work is complete.Disney World states that Pop Century will be getting a “retro-inspired” refresh. What this means exactly is unknown, though the hotel’s lobby is hardly the only thing that has or will be changing. Work will begin on July 28.Disney has been refreshing Pop Century for some time, giving the rooms a facelift. Work on refreshing the rooms at Pop Century began back in March and is expected to continue through February 2026. Other recent refurbishments at the hotel include the gift shop and pool.There are dozens of places to stay the night while visiting Walt Disney World, ranging from value-priced rooms to luxury suites on the waterfront. Some of Disney World’s most iconic hotels include Disney’s Polynesian Village and Contemporary Resorts, both of which opened alongside Magic Kingdom in 1971.Disney’s Pop Century is a popular choice for visitors, as it’s consistently one of the resort’s cheapest hotels on property.Disney has certainly branched out over the years when it comes to hotels, with places like Disney’s Art of Animation leaning into the colorful worlds of the company’s animated classics. Disney’s Riviera Resort is one of the resort’s newest hotels.
