Fast-bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar series played between India and England, while pacer Arshdeep Singh will miss out on the fourth Test due to injury, the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) confirmed on Monday.According to the official communication from BCCI, Nitish Kumar Reddy was ruled out of the remainder of the five-match Test series owing to a left knee injury and will fly back home.As reported earlier by the Indian Express, on Sunday morning, during the gym session, Nitish reported to the physios about a niggle. Scans confirmed damage to his ligament, which forces his absence for India’s must-win Test that starts on July 23 and puts his tour in jeopardy.Arshdeep had to miss the fourth Test in Manchester after he sustained an impact injury to his left thumb while bowling in the nets at a training session in Beckenham. The BCCI medical Team is said to monitor his progress.The swelling list of casualties in the tour has been a crushing blow to India’s hopes of squaring the series they trail 2-1 at Old Trafford. Already, Birmingham hero Akash Deep will miss the Test due to a groin niggle.Anshul Kamboj was added to the squad in place of Arshdeep Singh.
