I get your intentions, but the actual reason these people are CBs are (A) They are trying to exploit someone worse off than themselves and (B) they usually want 1:1 care. I would have loved a full time nanny in my home dedicated to just my kids, flexible with hours and who tidied up kid mess and made them snacks BUT I'm not rich. My kids had to go to a large daycare that still took up a huge amount of my salary. I had to give up the career I loved as daycare was not flexible enough for my needs. I would have loved to have 1:1 care for my elderly relatives at home, but again, not rich. I could have offered free accommodation etc like the CBs do, but I don't want my loved ones being neglected or abused by someone unsupervised, likely unlicensed or untrained and resentful of their poor pay. This is why they suck and we will continue to call them out.
