Three Lorain, Ohio police officers were shot in an ambush attack near an industrial park in the Cleveland suburb Wednesday afternoon, according to officials. Two of the officers were taken by helicopter to a Cleveland hospital and are in critical condition. The third officer was shot in the hand and was treated at a local hospital.The suspected gunman is dead, according to officials, who described the shooter as a 28-year-old white male from Lorain. The officers responded to a call of shots fired before 2 p.m. When they arrived, they were met with gunfire from a shooter who was hiding in a tree line, authorities said.It is unclear the extent of the officers’ injuries. Two were flown to MetroHealth Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said.
