A source said: “Gabriela knew how important it was for Matheus to be able to go on the pre-season tour to get to know his team-mates before the start of the season.“They discussed it as a couple and the doctors agreed to book her in for an elective C-section on Monday, so Matheus could be at her side. “He’s now joined his team-mates and knows that friends and family will help look after Gabriela and their new baby until he returns home.”Cunha, in team strip, had made his Manchester United debut against Leeds in a friendly in Stockholm on Saturday. United arrived in Chicago on Tuesday night.
